Rotary Club Of Shillong observed the Maternal and Child Health Month by Celebrating the ORS week in Children"s Hospital Shillong. The young mothers were given demonstration on how to make oral rehydration solution and take care of the infants in case of diarrhea etc before can be taken to any medical centre . The programme was done to make the mothers aware of the risk of dehydration of infants and young children. and they were requested to spread the knowledge to the other mothers in their neighbourhood. Some mothers were asked to demontrate the same and they were gifted by the hospital authority as tokens of appreciation and encouragement. Chocolates and biscuit packes were given to the mothers and children from the club . The hospital authority served refreshment to the club members. Eleven members attended the awareness programme.
