The last official Weekly meeting of RY 2025-26 was held in the Rotary Corner on the 26th June, 2026. DG KS Elangbam and RRFC Debashis Das appraised the house regarding Benefactors and Endowment funds. President elect expressed his views regarding his vision of the next RY and the upcoming Installation. One Health Camp is also planned to be held on the 1st July. 2026.. An entertaining management was arranged by Rtn Amit Saraf and the members enjoyed it thoroughly..

Joint Board Meeting

We had a meeting comprising the members of Board 2025-26 and 2026-27. All the completed club projects are discussed and President 2025026 appraised the club regarding the projects on hand. The Treasurer 2025-26 presented a detailed report regarding the accounts likr Club Account , Project account, Sunshine account etc. All the necessary documents are handed over to in incoming team. The President Elect shared his vision and discussed regarding the upcoming Installation plan . Enjoyed dinner after the meeting offered by the President elect.

Regular Weekly Meeting

Regular Weekly Meting was held on the 12 June , Friday in Rotary Corner at 7pm. We has the students Award Programme on that day. . This is a on-going programme of our Club but was somehow discontinued in the last few years. Awards are given to some selected students like State Board Rank holders (Class X) . three number of deserving Class XI girl students from economically underprivileged background., students to undergo vocational training etc. The awards are given in the form of cash accumulated from the Fixed Deposits given some past members in memory of some of their beloved family members. These are given just to encourage and appreciate the students.

Regular Weekly Meeting

Club had the Regular weekly Meeting on the 4th June in the Rotary Corner as the Official Visit of District Governor, Rotary International District 3240 Rtn Kameswar Singh Elangbam in his home club. We started with the Club Assembly with the Directors and other Board members at 6pm. We had an interactive session of around one hour and after a short break we started the General Meeting. Even though DG is a regular member of our Club that day we all had a very special feeling and the meeting was official, interactive and informative. Assistant Governor S K Lato joined us on that day. We invited the President and secretary of Rotaract Club of Shillong to attend the same. Then DG delivered his speech regarding various club activities etc. The meeting was followed by music , fellowship and dinner.

Regular Weekly meeting was held in the Rotary Corner on the 8th May Friday. on that day one ex - member of our Club Chirodip Mukherji was inducted to our Rotary family. D G Rtn K S Elangbam presented the Rotary pin to him and the Club president Chandana handed over the welcome file to him. Rtn Chirodip Mukherjee then had given the acceptance speech and thanked all the members. The induction process was conducted by Club Membership Chair Rtn Kamaljit Singh Sehdave. A pampflet on Road Safety designed by Rtn Sarad Bawri was released on that day . These pampflets are to be given to the District transport Office to be given to the drivers while giving the Licences. The Pampflets are sponsored by Rtn Sarad Bawri and Rtn Abhishek Singhania.

Assistant Governor, District 3240, Rtn S K Lato attended the regular Weekly Meeting of our Club on his Official Club visit. He was accompanied by one member from his home Club Jowai .He was felicitated by a Ryndia ( Khasi Traditional Stole ) and a potted plant. President Chandana presented the Club Activity Report in detail after the regular Club affair. A G Rtn Lato , in his speech appreciated the club for the projects done which followed the Rotary calendar mostly. He joined us for the fellowship and all of us enjoyed his warm company. Regular Weekly Meeting

Regular Weekly Meeting in Rotary Corner along with the Celebration of International Womens Day (belated ) . On the occasion of Womens Day our Club honored five eminent women citizens of the town in appreciation of their various involvement in the society. They were , Smti Binu Haharika , a senior Advocate and an eminent writer , Dr Pynsuklin Syiemiong, an Assistant Prefessor of English and singer, Denila Khongdup, a distinguished Advocate and social activist, Rashi Vaswani, a visionary entrerprenuer in culinary landscape and last but not the least Mrs Urmila Kapur, the first woman entrepreneur in the liquor bussiness in Northeast India.They were honored with a shawl and a Citation each. In addition to this our Club honoured the two lady Presidents of two other Rotary Clubs of Shillong namely Mary Anne Jyrwa , President RC Orchid City , Shillong and GayatrinMarnie , President RC Heritage , Shillong..All six Lady members of the club too were honoured with a shawl each.

Regular Weekly Meeting was held on the 2nd March ( preponed ) along with the Vocational Awards Ceremony 2025-26. This year Five organisations were awarded .The institutions that were honoured were : Seng Biria U Khasi, Roilang Livelihood Academy, Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Ramkrishna Missiom Sohra and Impulse NGO Network. NESAC Director S P Agawala attened as the Chief Guest. President Chandana welcomed the guests and citations for each awardee were read out before the presentation of the honour..

Regular Weekly Meeting was held on Friday, the 2nd January,2025. Important decisions were taken for voting DGNE 2028-29 and for COL too, after open discussions with l the club members present, the house decided in what order to go ahead. Rtn Debashis provided an update of the upcoming District Conference and urged the members to participate enthusiastically. President announced that there would be no RWM in the next week ie on the 9th as the Conference will start from that day.

Regular Weekly Meeting of Rotary club of Shiilong was held in Rotary Corner on the 29th August. In addition to the regular club affairs two new Members were inducted on that day following the Membership and Extensiom month.. The members were sponsored by Rtn Kishan Tibrewalla and the induction precess was done by Club Membership Chair RTn Kamaljeet Mr Nand Kishore Singh and Mr. Siddartha Sinha were inducted to our club and pinned by Rtn Debashis Das.The District Awards and Recognition received by our Club was brought by IPP rtn Amit to and handover ( some personal recognitions ) .

Outdoor Assembly Club Service

Outdoor Assembly

Rotary Club of Shillong had an Outdoor assembly today at Woodstock, Mylliem, around 20km away from Shillong. We had a fruitful assembly with a good attendance of members and spouses .The Committee chairs shared their visions and plans for the next two months and all other members put forward their views as well. After the assembly , we enjoyed outdoor and interesting indoor games arranged by the members and the spouses. This was followed by tasty snacks and sumptuous lunch. We left the place by 4pm afrter a cup of tea.
